How much is it for a 18 footer at RQ. Is it true they want to lift you out once a year to examine your hull?
Also having an oldish boat, in the past when I have enquired in person they do seem to turn their nose up. Anyone with an oldish small boat down there care to allay my fears.

    Cheers

I think you are looking at about £1000 per year for and 18 footer.

Yup, Keiths right, I paid approx 1000 last year at royal quays for an 18 footer, (sold now, broke my heart.) but as for lifting out ,its up to you, theres no compulsory rule, but when you do lift out its £75 quid each way, but having said that, the marina is well run and so easy to use and secure..

about a grand for an 18 footer, a tad under if you pay it all in one lump if remember rightly

the lift is 75 quid one way or they will lift, shore it up for a week then lift back for 120ish

no compulsary lifts, there's a couple of boats next to mine that haven't moved in so long I think they've taken root! - handy source of mussels for bait though

Aye rich, I did indeed sell it and bought 3 more instead! one in the RQ, one on a trailer and a little semi-rib as well!

one or 2 have got to go though soon, struggle to find the time for one of them!

Hi Alfie, welcome to NESA mate,
I think by your original post you may have picked on a bay day for someone when asking at royal quays LOL, best marina I`ve been to and they`re always friendly no matter what type age or size of boat you have (and I know thats not true for some other marinas). As has been said here its approx £1000 a year for an 18ft boat but as for compulrary lift outs etc , no way , you do as and when you please.
Come along and have a look around any time, be my guest.

Thanks for the offer Norman. I have been down a few times, in fact had a boat in the hardstanding 2 years ago. It was just an immpression I got that if you didn't have a Sealine or the likes they didn't really seem very enthusiastic.
May have changed now and I am considering coming down there next spring.
