  • Hello!

Hi , I've been lurking a while on this forum gleaning little bits and pieces about boat fishing in the sea. I've got a little boat I bought for pike fishing the lochs in scotland (orkney 440) , but it seemed a shame not to give it a swim in the sea when it's but a few miles away compared to the 130 or so I have to pull it to get pike fishing.
Anyway a month or so back , I took the plunge and launched from Amble and fished behind the island , to my amazement my mate and I actually caught fish Codling , wrasse ,pollock and mackerel . It was great!
We've been once more , a couple of weeks back, and caught virtually the same bag again but the pollock were much bigger this time.
It's a shame this kind of fishing depends on so many variables , wind ,tides etc. or I think I'd be out every chance I got.
Anyway , thank you to those of you who share your experiences on here , it helped me to get out there and do it!

    Ray.
