Wifey said I could have a new boat rod for xmas, was looking at the shimano
vengeance range, but talking to a tackle shop owner this morn and he reckons he has had a couple returned due to snapping, has anyone got one
and had any probs with it.
Hi mate,
I bought a Vengeance boat rod a couple of years ago. It's only a 6 - 12 lbs model, but I've had quite a few cod on it up to 6lbs, and it's still intact. I love using it and it's great sport. You've got me a bit worried now mind !
Got one last year and not snapped, they do have a soft action. In the last 2 years I've snapped 6 rods from local companies costing a lot more than these. In summary they're ok but not as good as their reels.

New that would get a snide remark from either you or Mark
Excuse me Steve, don't tar me with the same brush as Duncan............me write a snide remark, an outrageous calumny, as Miss Jean Brodie would say!
Quite a few on here seem to love the Fladen Maxximus solid carbon rod Steve. I was hinting to Lynn recently with little success - "sell the damn rods you have just now and then we may talk about it!"
