  • Luminous Pirks

Following on from my earlier post about the best rig for the end of March and all the other talk of pirks, does anyone know where to order (online) some good highly luminous paint, tape etc which I can apply to a chrome pirk and then varnish? Not bothered if it only lasts for the 1 session.

I have looked but drawn a blank (and I\'m not prepared to pay the best part of £50 for a one off roll of tape!).

Alternatively if anyone knows where I can buy (mailorder) luminous torpedo pirks that would be handy.

    Cheers

                  John,

                  I got about 7or 8 tins ( 500ml ) for about £43-00 . The luminous was about £7-00 I think . It will last forever .

That was too dear imo mate . Further , the only colours that came out tops were the orange , yellow , and luminous .

                      HOW MUCH!!!!

Bloody hell. Just checked John. Their standard delivery cost (including 1 small can) is £10 + VAT! For that I\'d want a Police escort on the bloody stuff.

At least you get an idea of what you can get the paint for. Won\'t be buying from them though!

Dave, are you sure about those prices? last time i rang that local supplier they quoted in the region of £40 for 500ml of luminous paint?

                            I\'m pretty sure a \"work colleague\" paid almost that for a tin!

                            Cheers, Keith.

There was also a tin of varnish in there Keith and I think the delivery was a tenner which pushed the bill up to around the 40 quid mark.

I\'ll give it credit it is definately luminous. I tried it on a red pirk which wasn\'t the best of results. Will have to just use a white basecoat then the lumnous and then the varnish.

Got the paint from NWE paints.
