Started my new outboard today (25hp Mariner) Had a right job to get it started and when it did it was'nt as smooth as i would have liked. Is this normal until I run it in proper. I would presume that with it have the fuel through for the first time and the bits inside wearing in it would run better after a run in. Anyone had the same or know of this.
Hopefuly be giving it a run in on friday out of Amble weather permitting and a bit fish if possible.
Had a walk along Amble pier last sat saw a orkney going out that had to stop for these lads to wind there lines in, what a carry on. Also saw a lad in a little inflatable get his outboard prop snagged up in a bouy line.
Quite an eventful stroll.......
