Not much of a report for the catching of fish but it was certainly a day of two halfs first the cold then the warm.
Steve and myself on board, met up with Glen on Kingfisher and bert and the lads on Shady
Set off at six to catch the last hour of flood tide, there was a surprising cold wind and the crossing of Bell Hues Rocks on the way to St Marys was more like an easterly running sea, it was so cold at one point I had to warm me hands on hot engine .
Surprisingly, close in at St Marys, we were rewarded with a shoal of coalies on the feed. None big enough to keep with the best being only about 1lb but nevertheless we had an exhausting 45 mins catching 3 at a time as they passed through and then dissapeared. Unfortunately apart from a single pouting that was it in the catching stakes.
Done the rounds of ground and wrecks but not a touch, luckily the sun rose in a clear blue sky and bit by bit warmed the deck to see us eventually sitting comfortable sunning ourselves (but still not catching any fish), well as we say ....... it`s early yet and easter did come several weeks earlier this year anyway ........ next time

Great pics Norman, we had pre-ordered that cold spell just to chill the beers Thanks!!

I know it's early but things are desparate, apart from scotchies & chickens we drew a blank.

The lads are fishing a comp tomorrow ( I've got the kids ) so hopefully summit will turn up!!!
          Cheers, Keith.

sitting here some 18hrs later ... yeah I`m tired, but ...... it`s a sight to behold seeing the sun come up over the horizon as in the first pic ......
The fishings great but it`s a challengeto be there at first light ... to see that view ...... (lol like bert and the boys do every week anyway one day bert I`ll be out there before you LOL )
ps we`ll have to learn to have drinking sessions at a more sociable time than 6.00am

                    Great start to the season

Fish or no fish , no problem its the fun in trying that counts !!!!!
