  • Charter Prices

Just a quicky concerning the prices of Charter Boat Fishing.

    I go out of Whitby and pay between £40 - £48.00 per 10 - 12 hour trip.

The Five Towns Sea Angling Club has had a write up in the local paper today and I have had a few phone calls about joining. I have mentioned to them that I have a trip booked at the end of March for 12 hours out of Whitby at a cost of £48.00 per man and everyone has mentioned how expensive it is for a North Charter. I have been told that Hartlepool you can go for a 10 hour jobbie for about £20.00 and the same out of Bridlington.

What seems to be the going rate ? And am I paying too much ?

Its about the same in the Tyne Kenny, £20 - £25 for about 8 hours looks like your paying a hefty fee

We`re offering in the RNLI Comp fishing from 8.00am to 4.00 pm for £25.00 and that already includes £5 for the prize fund. want to give it a go?

      Hi Norman,
I would love to give it a go - I had read about it, but thought that it might have just been open to the regulars who know each other and meet on a fairly regular basis.
But if it is an open invitation - Sure thing

        Hi Kenny,

It\'s not regulars at all m8 , my way of thinking is ( and I\'m sure it\'s the same for the rest of the boat lads ) everybody is welcome , same as lads we take out on our own boats . There is no elite \"Clique\"

Regarding your question , tis a bit dear like for a day out . Just like to say though it cost\'s a bomb to run a charter boat and I\'ve never met a millionaire charter skipper .

          Kenny,
Last years event at Amble attracted over 150 anglers.
Out of that 150, about a dozen or so were NESA members.

These comps we arrange are for ANYBODY to book places on.

It\'s strictly \"1st come, 1st served\" when it comes down to booking places.

I\'m very close to securing the use of some Charter boats and as soon as I do, I\'ll be inviting people on the Board to book places. Aswell as that, I\'ll be sending out a press realease to local newspapers and posters advertising the event will be going up in local tackle shops, etc.

Kenny LOL you are a regular but in any case it`ll be open to anyone.
we almost got boats organised, we`re starting with 4 or so charter boats that we know are joining in and have a number of places free so these will be first places to fill (approx 20 to 30 places) then hopefully as we put out press and posters we hope we may get charter skippers who will offer more places to fill also it`s open to private boats who may or may not offer any spare places. Keep tuned till we give the all clear I`m sure we`ll get you booked OK.
