sounds about right price wise at the RQ, mines about that size and just over a grand. suprised at the not letting you in till april bit though, as there's quite a few of the smaller berths empty at the mo. maybe ask em for a temp contract till april then start a full year??

heburn marina... hmnn, you'll probably need to cut a load of ply to fit over the windows as the boats down there tend to get used for target practice by the chavs.

not sure wether there's any space at willington quay boat club at the mo, seemed pretty full last time I was there. only other one that springs to mind is St Peters, but it's a good hour or 2 just to get to the piers from there

There's a marine place opened up next to South Shields Boat Angling Club, I think they are renting out moorings, but not sure how safe an outboard would be down there. Having said that I think they have overnight security.

can't remember its been that long since I saw it! good to know its still afloat if nowt else!

pretty sure number 15 next to mine is vacant. they stuck someone in there for just a couple of months in september, think they've dissapeared agaian now though. Did you speak to matt (matt simms - the marina manager) he's pretty good usually

I think the land belongs to someone who doesn't need to worry about security
