17 foot oyster
billed as semi-displacement, but I'd reckon more on the displacement side so incredibly stable and seaworthy, cuts through the swell like butter, the down side of that being, its not going to be as fast as a full planing boat, but is be much more comfy seaworthy when it gets rough. Very heavily built, never seen a fibreglass boat as heavily built, 2 inch oak ribs/frames full length of the boat. Originally built with a diesel inboard but the previous owner pulled that out and put a 40hp yamaha on, which I replaced withthe 4 stroke. the engine beds and stern tube are still in place if you want to put it back to inboard. Sell the outboard, buy and inboard and probably have change left over
50hp mariner 4 stroke, bought from Bill Higham last august, for nigh on 3 grand, ex rnli engine, very economical with loads of grunt when needed. electric start, power tilt and trim etc
fully braked rolelr trailer, custom made for the boat in August last year and only used once to take the boat up to scotland on holiday, so everything on the trailer is brand new, including the spare wheel and tyre.
loads of locker space in the cabin, under the transom seats and under the cockpit floor
dsc vhf brand new last year, garmin 6" chartplotter with North East cartridge, Navman fishfinder. nav lights all round, led cockpit lights all round the floor for night fishing, bruce anchor, 15 metre chain, 150metres of rope, all lives in a dedicated chain locker up front and can be retrieved from inside the boat.
heavy teak rubbing strake all round, cockpit floor was professionally covered in heavy duty anti-slip vinyl, heavy teak rubbing strake all round, huge samson posts up front and on the rear quarters - the previous owner used it to dredge a chain scallop net! Big comfy swivel seats, cooker, lifejackets, 2 fire extinguishers (1 CO2 1 powder)
err.. other stuff etc ect
lying royal quays at the mo
£4500 would be nice which is a lot less than it stands me 12 months on, got my eye on something bigger this year, and If I get that for it, 10% can go in the RNLI kitty for this year
