Boat Fishing Wannabee

Never boat fished, only shore and fluff chucked.....

Apart from a rod and rell what would I need for a 8 hour trip on a boat, i.e. rigs, line recommendation, bait, etc etc.

Main thing is sea sickness tablets mate best bit of advice I can give you nothing worse than spuing up all day

12 x daylights , hockais
Couple of rippers
30-50lb mainline

These are just your basics which will see you through a trip

what bait on the bottom hooks? whole squids, prawns, bluey / mackie strips.

Seems a pretty simple rig to assemble i got about 3st of lead spare and some steel tube. will get the fire pit stoked for the weekend bbq....
