Came home from work along the coast road tonight - sea looked perfect - flat calm, blue skies, sun shining, sunglasses on - CAN THIS STILL ONLY BE FEBRUARY? - I was snowed in in Weardale last weekend

It was just gonna be a few hours visiting me sister & her family from Scotland (they had hired a cottage for a long weekend). Got there Saturday afternoon - ended up having to stay overnight due to the road leading to / from the cottage being blocked with snow within an hour of the snow starting to fall.
Was hoping that we might still be snowed in \'til Monday (looking forward to ringing work, saying that I couldn\'t get in....lol). Shame most of it had gone by Sunday morning....

Well Tony now you know what it\"s like for us hillbilly\"s mate. Just a normal weekend in sunny Consett. I dread to think what Mark is going to add to this lol.

I wasn\'t snowed in! I was snowed out

was in town sat\' afternoon and got caught in it on the way home. Had to dig 200yards of road clear of snow to get up the last bit of bank coming out of blanchland. Just got onto the level over the tops when the snow plough turned up. Still and hours clearing snow in a blizzard is as much excercise as I\'ve had this month.

the word from the sheep worriers out here is the\'s more due next week

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

It\"s a canny bit of bank up there mind Mark you must have been well knackered. Probably a bit miffed when the plough turned up as well I would think lol.

but how does the man who drives the snow plough get to work?
give a man a fish and feed him for a day - teach the man to fish and feed him for life!!!!
