  • Fishing report (sort of)

    as works picking up and summer is coming to an end soon, ill not be out much as work will get in the way, i thought id edit all my videos of the summer and put them into one video, called the best bits of summer , this is mine and nevs first few months of kayaking started in march, me and nev started out with a Malibu 2 xl kitted out for fishing, that didn't last long we wanted one each, i got a trident 13 nev got a elite, them didn't last long now nev has a dorado and ive got an ultra 4.3, we must have had easy over 100 cod this summer, in the last 2 summers we was shore fish spending hundreds of pounds for very little fish,,,,, looking back on the summer we done better than we could have thought, roll on winter sat out there 800 yards off freezing my balls off lol

    thanks very much for sharing, excellent video, i think alot more anglers will now be thinking of buying a kayak. again really enjoyed video. tight lines.

        Where is the mark you went off with the massive kelp beds and how do you get down to them

          hi mate the mark is between skinnigrove and saltburn, you only see that much kelp when its below a 0.4 low tide, its easier to walk from saltburn round but only get a few hours if fishing from shore as u will get cut off

            I find it best to fish this mark when the low tide is 1.5m or above. You have enough water in the gullies then to make fishing from the rocks worthwhile.

            Be warned about cut off points though when the tide turns, this is one place I wouldn't want to be stranded in a rough sea.
