  • Madonna, Seahouses ?

Anyone fished on Madonna lately ? Any advice on what works best up there. It was the 1st boat my old man took me on when I was about 10. Well it's the same skipper, maybe changed his boat in 17 Year!
Any help would be champion. Cheers, STEVEO.

    Hello Steveo,

I don't know about the "Madonna" but the two boats I go on are the "Unity" and the "Guide Me".

Seahouses Fishing - MFV Guide Me

I know the fishing was poor with the bad start to the season weatherwise but it should be picking up a bit.
Prawn baited daylites and hokais work very well as does ragworm on a flowing trace.

I hope this helps mate, regards Ian

I have fished on Madonna before but mainly fish on Unity. Matty, the captain of Unity is a great lad and very knowledgeable. As has been said, a slow start to the season but starting to pick up now. hokais and prawns work well as do 4" shads in bright colours. give bluey and mackrel a go for the bigger fish and ling. 99% of the fishing out of seahouses is rough ground/reef.

we go out on Madonna in the summer. My mate refuses to buy bait and just uses hockeyes. He always does well. You cannot go wrong baiting them with prawns or worm.
