Recommended by the Royal Ocean Racing Club, First Aid at Sea provides an easy-to-access instant guide to emergency first aid for all seafarers.
This bestselling guide includes a colour-coded thumb index of emergencies for quick reference, and a concise description of medical conditions with a prioritised list of treatments.
Updated to include new colour illustrations and sturdier waterproofed pages to withstand use at sea. Both authors are experienced offshore yachtsmen and the book covers all the medical emergencies that are likely to occur at sea.
Colin Berry (MB BS FRCA) completed his first circumnavigation in 1982 and his second in 1990, both times as crew member and medic aboard Whitbread Round the World yachts. He has cruised and raced and also spent time afloat as a medical officer in the Royal Navy.
