Dennis Retter, England Manager of the Casting Team held the team selection for the CIPS World Championship Casting team at Manston in Kent on Saturday 2nd July 2011.
The England World Casting teams will be taking part in Italy from 28th August – 4th September 2011 and will be part of the World Angling Games.
The England ‘A’ Team for 2011 will be Steve Lewis, Andy Copping, Alan Varley, Lee Adams, and Mark Jakins.
The England ‘B’ Team for 2011 will be Steve Boyd, Kevin Southey, Garry Dickerson, Alan Bowden and Mike Dagnall.
Ben Bradstock will be going as the reserve and casting as an individual.
The England ‘A’ Team are hoping to retain their title of World Champions as last year which was held in Saint Cyprien, France with their victorious gold medal win.
