At the new Liverpool Boat Show there’s a great chance to try kayaking for free with Johnson Outdoors UK at the Paddle In ‘Pool feature. An exciting range of canoes, kayaks and sit-on-tops will be on the water in Duke’s Dock so members of the public can get afloat on safe, sheltered water and see how much fun these craft can be. They will be able to try out boats from the world leading brands of Ocean Kayak, Old Town and Necky and all safety equipment will be provided.
The Paddle In ‘Pool visitor attraction will be run in conjunction with the adventure school Surf-Lines, based in North Wales, who specialize in canoeing and kayaking courses. As well as paddling the boats, a full range of craft will be on display on shore with experts on hand to offer plenty of friendly advice about everything from sit-on-tops to stand up paddleboards. There will also be a dedicated kayak fishing section.
Necky is the name enthusiasts turn to for sea kayaks, recreational kayaks and day tourers. All the craft offer excellent stability and manoeuvrability and there is a fantastic new Necky sit-on-top tourer. Necky craft are also often used for long distance exploration and on many expeditions.
Fans of Ray Mears will love the Old Town style of Canadian canoes on show. Old Town has been making canoes and kayaks for over 100 years and has produced well over a million boats. They offer classic designs and unbeatable value family canoes with models which are both practical and a pleasure to paddle. Johnson Outdoors UK will also be displaying watersports accessories including best selling paddles from Carlisle and Extrasport buoyancy aids.
